VietNamNet Bridge – The Hanoi Association of Literature and Art on April 2 presented awards to 20 literary, music, stage, photographic, art, folk art, cinema and dance works.
Buddhist prayer woodblocks submitted for UNESCO recognition
Among those awarded, Dang Nhat Mai’s “Kim Lien, Nam Tran Thang Long” was praised as a song imbued with history and modern life.
There are three literary works winning the prize compared to only one last year, including Nguyen The Hung’s novel They Didn’t Come Back Yet, Dang Thi Thanh Huong’s Cold Tea poetry collection and Do Lai Thuy’s Penmanship of Desire.
Among three folk art works, the most notable was the book The Secrets behind Mummies of Buddhist Monks by Dr. Nguyen Lan Cuong.
This year there was no award for architecture.
